Windows of Hope…

21 03 2011

In 2008, Caleb Simmons was commissioned to create some artwork for an interfaith chapel in a secure training centre for young offenders. Recently, I had the opportunity to interview Caleb about some of the challenges this posed, which became an article for the Everything Conference website. Check out the article, which contains some of Caleb’s artwork.

To my mind, this is a great example of an artist taking both their art and their faith seriously, and it’s a wonderful example of thoughtful, provocative, but winsome, cultural engagement.

I love Caleb’s art. It’s fresh, provocative and very versatile. Check out various examples at www.calebsimmons.co.uk

And don’t forget to book in for the Everything Conference, which is taking place in Westminster this Saturday 26 March. As part of the day there will be an art gallery displaying new work by a selection of artists. There will also be talks, interviews, networking opportunities and video content. I am confident it is going to be a fantastic day!
